Emerge Therapeutics: AN INTEGRATIVE Approach to
HOLISTIC HealthCARE
For many years, “health” was defined as the absence of disease. Therefore, it’s not surprising to see a decline in overall wellness. This is partially due to how narrow and one-track sick-care has become.
We all understand that drugs come with side effects. However, simply replacing a z-pack with zinc is a one-dimensional approach.
Effective health care *must* take the whole being into account. We need to address the mind, along with the physical body, to achieve the best results. If we don’t, even holistic treatments will fall short. Yes, there will be fewer side effects for sure. However, when we the miss root of the issue, results are temporary.
The Emerge Therapeutic Approach:
A true holistic approach is integrative. It addresses the many facets of each individual. What someone eats, to how they move, and even what they think, all play a role in the manifestation of disease. For long term effects, it must all be addressed.
Anything less is putting a bandaid on a battle wound.
At Emerge, we value a truly integrative approach to optimize health outcomes. And, we offer a variety of services that address both the physical body, as well as the mind and soul!
Whether you’re simply looking to engage in a regimen for preventitive healthcare or have acute/chronic issues that you are looking to address, we have holistic solutions for most of your healthcare needs.
The Best Approach to Health is Integrative!
Health or disEASE (aka. the absence of health) are never about one thing. Instead, a multitude of factors either support or detract from a state of balance.
The best way to achieve and maintain optimal health requires a multidimensional approach. When you support the mind, body, and soul, simultaneously, you have greater access to achieve optimal health.

From there, you can see what resonates the most. There is no one way for everyone. Simply try all of our classes and services. Then discover what combination is best for you!
NON-OPIOID PAIN RELIEF + INJURY RECOVERY:
For individuals post accident/injury, we recommend an initial consult with a Licensed Acupuncturist or Massage Therapist. Consultations always include a physical assessment and full treatment. Based on signs, symptoms, and objective findings, a comprehensive care program will be discussed. The combination of physical bodywork [acupuncture and/or massage] with inflammation reduction [sweat and eesystem] speed up recovery and provide lasting results.
INTERNAL MEDICAL ISSUES:
Traditional Chinese Medicine [TCM] has been used in treatment of acute and chronic disease for centuries. From the common cold to longstanding auto-immune disorders, acupuncture and TCM modalities provide effective treatement for both acute and chronic disease. TCM gets to the root cause of pain and dysfunction by addressing both the body and underlying emotions. Furthermore, once a TCM diagnosis is established, your practitioner may recommend other services. A comprehensive approach is always best to speed up and enhance the healing process.
Does My Insurance Cover Sessions?
Currently, we can accept insurance [depending on the plan] for acupuncture and massage therapy.
- ACUPUNCTURE: Depending on your insurance plan, you may have out-of-network coverage. Some plans that usually offer acupuncture benefits include: NYSHIP, UnitedHealthcare, BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, and No-Fault. Please call the front desk for more information on insurance and out-of-pocket rates.
- MASSAGE: NYSHIP (The Empire Plan or United Healthcare) insurance is held by teachers, government/state workers & law enforcement. A percription for massage therapy is required by a doctor or chiropractor in order to receive treatment. Sessions are usually 1HR. The number of sessions allocated per month depend on your perscription.
- Furthermore, several plans will provide a health savings account that may be used towards group classes and other services. Simply ask the front desk for an itemized receipt for your purchase and you may be able to submit that for reimbursement.
